A Chanced Meeting

That red-head many inhabitants of Tynnara have grown so accustomed to seeing wandering around is taking a day to herself now out by a lake that her friend, Vixen, used to frequent at hoping to find piece there as Vixen had. Emily needed to calm her mind back down. Trying to get over a break-up was hard enough but no contact with ones own sister was even worst. Sally hadn't spoken to Emily since they had gotten Sally a new family and it cut Emily worst than anything else Emily had experienced before.
Emily stopped not far in her walk spotting a young man ahead of her. Thoughts of running filled her head as she stared wide-eyed at him. Men couldn't be trusted and Emily knew that all to well and yet, something about this boy fascinated her. So, against her every thought she moved towards him curious and cautious.
The boy looked up at her and she squeaked and froze. He just smiled at her lowering his paint brush and Emily's stomach sis a summer-salt.  "Hi there." The boy said softly to her.
Emily looked at her feet. "H-hello." She managed to look back up at him. "What are you doing?" She asked noting the canvass in front of him and the paint brush in his hand.
He smiled at her again very kindly. "I am painting." Emily crept closer to him and looked at the canvass at his painting of the lake.
Emily's eyes brightened up and she smiled "It is so pretty!" She said smiling widely.
It was the boys turn to look at the painting and then back at her curiously. "It is missing something."
Emily looked from the painting to the scene in front of her. "What? I don't see anything missing..."
He gently moved her, "Stay there."
Emily turned a deep shade of Crimson standing where indicated as this mysterious new stranger painted her into the picture. "I... I am Emily." She said softly to the painter.
The boy looked up at her and smiled, 'why does my stomach feel funny???' Emily asked herself when he did. "I am Paul. It is nice to meet you Emily."
Emily turned her stare to her feet and hid her blush as best she could behind such short hair. "It is nice to meet you too Paul."
He looked at her as he finished. "Want to see it?"
Emily didn't seem to hesitate this time when he invited her to his side and she smiled at the minature of herself. "It looks beautiful Paul."
Paul handed the painting to her. "Take it, it's yours."
Emily's eyes widened. "Really? You... You mean it?"
Paul just nodded smiling.
As the sun began to set Emily's smile faded. "I should be getting home...."
Paul looked at the setting sun and frowned, he didn't exactly want Emily to leave. "Uhm... You could stay the night at my house if you'd like..." He added quickly, "In separate rooms of course!"
Emily felt really uneasy, he was a male... What good thing had any male ever done for her. "I... I don't know..." She looked at him again and nodded. "Aright.... But it will be separate rooms!" She couldn't believe she couldn't say no to him...

Now Emily spent the night with the boy not trusting him and the next morning Emily was taken from the house by slavers working for Jabba the hut and the house Paul had taken her to was torched.

Emily just new she would never see anyone again... [To be continued...]

((OOC: Real Life Drama))

Okay so as people may have found out by reading the OOC posts from Vixen, my father is currently in the hospital. He was in a car accident and I am trying to spend time with him. At the same time I am not going to vanish from Twitter, at least not from Vixen. I will go insane if I do. Role-playing helps me feel better but I must apologize. If Vixen, Madness, or Emily seem a bit... Off or odd I am sorry. My emotions are simply coming out through them. Vixen last night, due to the situation from the mission she is on, got drank off of her ass. She started ranting about genie's at the bottom of a Jack Daniel's bottle after drinking half of it. Of course she is a silly drunk but still... She got drunk. I caused her to get drunk in order to make myself laugh after spending a day at the hospital. Drivers down her just don't know how to drive when the roads get icy and something happens to my dad because of it there will be hell to pay, that I can promise you. Anyway I just wanted to let you all know that.

Sincerely yours,

One World

 Emily smiled softly and happily and she sang to the shower head.

I'm just like you"
(Song: One World by Celtic Women)

She smiled changing into a pair of pajamas she had found in her room leaving her hair wrapped in a towel.
She stopped looking at the smiling Casey. "What? What did I do?"
Casey shook her head still smiling, "Nothing sweetheart. Want some tea?"
Emily smiled and nodded. She enjoyed quality time with her new parents, but she was worried. What would her mom and dad say about quality time after the babies joined the family? What if she wasn't needed any more?

Like most adopted kids, Emily's thoughts leaned towards the prospect that she wouldn't be wanted once they had biological children of their own.

Nightmare

Emily was running away from something. Her red hair was pulled back, tied in a ponytail and her normally festive colored clothes were replaced by a skin tight leather jumpsuit.

OH MY GOD! She looks like Jean Grey from X-Men
But after running quite some distance without looking back even once, she realized she was running towards something... Not away. But what was she running for?
She finally stopped feeling something around her neck. She reached up and gently touched the object. It was a collar, shock collar that most people wouldn't even use on an animal let alone a human being.
As her fingers touched the collar, it sent exactly 975,000 volts through her body. Emily let out a blood curling scream, falling to the ground writhing in pain. A pain no one should ever have to experience.
Emily staggered back to her feet and began running once again to where ever her feet were taking her.
She froze staring at the place she had stopped. She knew this house she'd been there before.
And yet only as the pregnant woman opened the door did she truly know where she was.
"Emily? What are you doing out here?"
Emily tried to step back her feet not under her control. "Hello Mommy."
Emily tried to scream. Tried to run away or even warn Casey, but she couldn't. As Casey fell to the ground screaming in pain, Emily knew she had just attacked her mom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Emily screamed as she woke up. Her blankets were twisted around her body confining  her in the grip of the dream. As she fought the blankets, tears streamed down her cheeks.
Once she got free of the blankets she ran into Casey and Bruno's room curling up in their bed crying herself to sleep.
And this, much to Emily's dismay, was not the end of her torment and torture... This was just the beginning.
New Hope
"Casey, this is Emily."
Emily forced a smile as she looked the pregnant woman in front of her. She was pretty but Emily's heart couldn't handle liking people anymore.
Emily zoned out easily and ignored everyone.
"Casey? She needs some one to watch her. Do you think you and Bruno could take care of her? At least for a little while?"
Only now did Emily really seem to snap back to reality. She looked between the two older women not sure how to react to any of this.
"Oh I'd love to Vixen. She can help with the babies too."
Vixen smiled, "If something happens and you can't take care of her, let me know."
Casey smiled, "Don't worry Vixen. I'm sure it will work out."
Vixen smiled and nodded before looking at Emily, "It'll be okay Em. Casey and Bruno are good people. You know where to find me if you need me."
And then she left the frightened and untrusting Emily alone with a strange new woman she had only just met.
Emily's heart was pounding as she turned to face Casey though she seemed to avoid eye contact with her entirely.
"Are you hungry?" Casey asked being friendly towards the child.
Emily looked at Casey her bright blue eyes locking onto Casey's softer blue eyes. It seemed instantaneous that Emily knew she didn't have to be afraid. At least... She didn't have to be afraid of this woman. She didn't know how she knew but she did. "I.. I guess a little.... But I'll be okay..."
"Well how about we go get a bite to eat?" Casey asked with a smile. Something about this girl was different.
"If it's not to much trouble..." Emily said softly still watching the woman with pure curiosity all signs of the thoughts of being threatened gone.
Casey smiled happily. "No trouble at all."
~Later that night~
Emily looked at the door and then back over her shoulder at the room of the people had taken her in. She sighed and left in silence. She had to go somewhere she couldn't sleep like this and she knew where she had to go as she ran silently to Nicola's old quarters.
Emily arrived to find the door partially open and Nicola gone. After walking in though, she noticed a piece of paper on the table. She picked it up with a trembling hand and read it with tear filled eyes:
Emily,
I am so sorry for hurting you this way, but I am sure you'll understand.
I'm no good for you when I am like this and I am afraid I'll hurt you badly
when it is out of control. I don't want that to happen cuz I really do care about you.
We've both been through some shit because of what the doctors did
but you, you have more control than I have.
I wish I had your strength.
I'll be back one day when I've learned to control my new skills,
and I hope you forgive me enough to speak to me again.
And I hope you find new friends you can trust while I am gone.
I know you are a good girl and you deserve the best.
Take care my sweet little girl.
I love you always,
Nicola
(As written by @_Nicola_M)
Emily read the letter repeatedly trying her hardest to find a good side to this all. She saw a few tear stains on the letter telling Emily immediately that Nicola had cried at one point or another when actually writing it and Emily held it close to her heart.
Without even having to think or pause, Emily curled up on the couch crying, holding the letter close to her hear.
"Emily?" A males voice called out softly from the doorway.
Emily bit back the urge to hiss at the voice and glanced up. Once her eyes landed on the figure she was glad she hadn't, "Oh Bruno... Hello sir."
Bruno smiled, "Sir isn't necessary. You can call me Bruno, or Starks."
"Yes si- I mean... Bruno." The red-head sighed trying her hardest to be a normal girl.
Bruno moved from the door way and sat beside Emily, "You know Casey is worried about you. We need to get you a comm. That will eliminate the problem next time."
Emily sighed. "I'm sorry Bruno. I couldn't sleep I just.... I knew I needed to come here." She said secretly hiding the not in her pocket.
Bruno nodded, "Well lets get you home. You can come here whenever you  want to just, next time, leave us a note."
Emily nodded and fell silent.
Shortly after this incident, the couple adopted Emily taking her into the safety and the warmth of their home. Emily's life was changing for the good but.... Somethings will never change.
So Alone
"Nicola! Nicola come back!" Emily cried trying to catch up with her guardian terribly frightened and worried she was going to lose Nicola. "Nic-" Emily screamed and covered her face seeing a mountain of body's all of them were torn apart and it was a horrific sight to the girl who had witnessed death for her entire life. Only now did she truly seem to realize that the thing that had lived inside of Nicola dormant for so long, the creature the scientists had made her, was slowly gaining control. She new somewhere deep down inside of her that  it was only a matter of time until she too gained a risk of becoming a victim of the predator inside of her guardians mind.
"Isn't it amazing?" A voice said behind her.
Emily spun to stare at Nicola looking sick to her stomach, "N-nicola? W-what have you done?!?"
Nicola gave a deadly smirk, "A man pays me to collect hearts for him. And after I take the hearts... Well I keep a little souvenir." She showed the terrified girl a number of skulls hanging from her belt.
Emily swayed looking deathly pale and nauseous as she hid behind the other girl there, Ezzie, hoping she would protect her.
"Nicola, you have to fight this! This isn't you!" Ezzie said pleading with her.
Nicola attacked Ezzie out of cold blood, the predator making her do things she would otherwise not do. And as she did, Emily screamed and ran behind a tree to hid.
The sound of a gun being cocked seemed to resonate and echo though the trigger was not pulled, "Nicola! I don't want to have to do this." She said softly. The gun aimed at Nicola.
Nicola smirked, "Who can shoot first?" She asked arming the blaster connected to her shoulder. "Drop the gun Neeja. Don't try to play the hero."
Neeja wanted so badly to protect Ezzie and Emily but like most humans, Neeja's thoughts landed on self preservation as she dropped the gun to the ground. "Nicola calm down. Think about Emily! She still needs you. You have to stop this or you risk losing her."
Emily ran until the voices faded into a gentle hum soon the voices were to distant to hear and she seemed to fade into the darkness becoming what seemed to her as a nonexistent speck.Once she had seemed to be lost she collapsed against a tree. "She won't leave me. She said she loves me. She.... She won't leave..." But somewhere deep inside Emily knew... She knew Nicola was going to leave her even if Emily didn't want her too. And so.. She avoided going back.
~20 Minutes Later~
Unable to stay away from Nicola any longer she headed back and found to her amazement Nicola was waiting for her. "Emily, I need to talk to you."
Emily's eyes filled with tears instantly and she nodded shakily walking to her side.
Nicola gently took the girls shaking hands into her own. "Emily, I have to leave. And you need to know it's not because of you. You have done nothing wrong. But I am not good for you. Not like this I am not."
 Emily clung to her, "Nicola! You can't leave me!"
Nicola sighed hugging her. "Emily I can't control myself. What if I end up hurting you? Or worse?"
Emily cried, "I don't care! I'm tough enough! You can stay."
Nicola kissed her forehead, "I'll be with you Emily. Always. And I'll come back as soon as I can control my new abilities."
Emily hugged her tightly, "You better."
Nicola looked at the man she had killed recently and sighed, "I need to bury him."
Emily shivered, "I can't watch... I... I need to leave."
Emily left without a backward glance, and she felt her heart being torn from her chest and for the first time in a long time she felt so... Alone.
